U3A Knox turns 30 in 2023

U3A Knox celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2023! Since its inception in 1993, U3A Knox’s membership has continued to grow, with what it offers its members continually expanding. Those who’ve joined have the opportunity to  share their expertise, knowledge and skills, learn from others, make new friends, and stay active.

The Committee of Management and Events Committee have many indoor and outdoor events being planned to celebrate this important milestone in a big way, so stay tuned for more news about what’s to come. We hope you can join in the celebrations.

What happened in 2022

The Events Committee planned a number of events for 2022. Unfortunately, many had to be cancelled due to concerns about COVID.

However, we were able to round off the year on a positive note with our Picnic in the Park, held at Tim Neville Arboretum in December. Our very own U3A Knox music groups provided some fabulous entertainment, the weather was great and the camaraderie was felt in abundance. Many people won terrific prizes in our free lucky draw. It was a very successful, fun day.

Here are a few photos from the day.
