As you will be aware, the building works at our Parkhills venue are necessitating a lot of changes in 2022. We are all going to have to be flexible and patient because things are not going to be as we are accustomed to.
Set out below are the procedures devised by the Committee of Management to accommodate the changes to Office accessability as best we can.
PROCEDURES FOR 2022
Enrolment
Please note that if you have enrolled but not yet paid, payments are now due.
For both enrolments and payments, please follow one of the following three procedures:
- Through the U3A Knox website: www.u3aknox.org.au: On your computer at home log in and click on “Invoice” next to “Subscription for 2022” and follow the prompts. (If you have not yet enrolled into a class, you will need to do this first.)
- At Boronia Bellbird Campus (corner Erica Ave and Genista Ave) on Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th January from 9.30 – 12 noon. If you’re not sure where this is, it’s shown as ‘Bellbird Senior Citizens Centre’ on the attached map below. Please bring your credit card! Without a fully running office, cash and cheques are not the preferred way of payment. You may also collect name tags at this time.
- As from Thursday 27th January, by telephone to Phil or Carol (Monday to Friday 9.30 – 12.00) who have a U3A Knox EFTPOS machine at home and will process your credit card payment over the phone.
Carol 0407 327 133 Phil 0408 280 953
Please be patient if their phones are busy, or unattended, but please keep trying!
During the first week of term, between 9am and 3pm a volunteer will be present at both the Boronia Bellbird Campus and Carrington Park to distribute name tags and hand class lists to tutors.
Office accessibility
Office accessibility during 2022 will be at the Boronia Bellbird campus with very limited space and for limited hours only.
Photocopying for tutors will be available at Bellbird Boronia during the first week of term from Monday 31st January to Friday 4th February from 9.30 – 12 noon.
After that there will be a roster of Office Managers who will attend Bellbird on some mornings – TBA. Ring the office number to confirm if in doubt about access.
Throughout 2022, as soon as Optus completes the diversion, any U3A Knox enquiries will be redirected from the U3A Knox phone number on 9752 2737. These calls will be diverted to a roster of Office Managers who will answer your queries and enrol and delete you into and out of classes. This should be in place from the beginning of February.
This service will be available from Monday to Friday 9.30 – 3.30.
The U3A email will continue to be monitored: office@u3aknox.org.au
Mail will be redirected to the secretary. Personal drop-offs at the Parkhills letterbox will not be monitored, as access will be denied once building starts.
