Our Fairpark facilities will be fully operational on May 20

On Monday May 20 we will be finally moving our headquarters to the new and refurbished Fairpark Multipurpose Community Facility. This post is for all members who attend indoor classes. Please read it carefully as the changes outlined here may affect you.

Revised timetable

As of Monday May 20 all classes currently held at Boronia Bellbird will be relocated to Fairpark. Of the classes currently held at Carrington Park, only Line Dancing, Strength & Balance  and Table Tennis will remain there; the rest will move to Fairpark.

Make sure to check the new timetable to see the changes. Note that some further changes have been made to the room allocation of those classes that have already commenced at Fairpark from the start of Term 2.

Note also that the Fairpark building has a security system with door opening on a timer. In the morning, doors open 15 minutes before the start of the first class of the day. Do not come earlier as you will have to wait outside in the cold.

Where are our new premises?

The Fairpark Multipurpose Community Facility is located in the Fairpark Reserve, Ferntree Gully. U3A occupies the north end of the building. The Cricket, FootBall and Netball clubs occupy the south end. There are two carparks:  The South Carpark is accessed from Manuka Dr, and the North carpark from Park Blvd. The main entrance to U3A faces the oval. See  here the map, a sketch of the building, and a floor plan.

The Office will now operate from Fairpark

As from Monday 20 our Office will operate from Fairpark, Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

The Office Managers will still be unpacking during the first week, so be patient and only approach them for urgent matters.  Collection of name tags can wait till the second week.

The current postal address, email address and telephone number remain unchanged.

All photocopying relevant to U3A classes and activities will continue at no cost to members. All photocopying needs be done through the Office by the Office Managers on duty, so you may need to plan ahead to organise your photocopying.

Tea and coffee will continue to be available free of charge at Fairpark and at Carrington Park. Bring your own cup, as there are no cups available there.
