Opening on 28 July

To all U3A Members,

As the current lockdown ends at 11.59pm tonight (Tuesday July 27), we are in a position to let classes and outdoor activities start again on Wednesday 28th July.

Classes at Parkhills

Under the new rules, we are restricted to having numbers reduced to 1 person per 4m² (4 square metres) in groups of no more than 10.

This means that some larger classes may need to be split into two groups with the first group meeting this week and the second next week.

Some tutors may decide to either restart on Monday or to postpone classes for another 2 weeks and others may wish to run with a split class.

We have requested our Tutors to email their class members to let them know if special arrangements for their classes exist.

Therefore, if you haven’t heard from your tutors, classes will resume as normal.

Classes at Carrington Park Leisure Centre

The same rules of 1 person per 4m² maximum of 10 people per group will apply in Rooms 1,2 and Activity Area.

We are permitted to have over 50 people in the Gymnasium, but they must be split into groups of no more than 10.

Classes at Other Venues

The Water Exercise class will not meet

The Tai Chi Classes at the Uniting Church, Boronia can resume as the number of enrolments fit in with the current rules.

Yoga at St Pauls in Boronia will also resume but will have to be into groups of no more than 10.

Bridge at The Basin will not be running until August 12 (subject to COVID)
