New courses starting in Term 3

Three new courses will commence in Term 3. If interested, enrol online or get assistance from the Office.

A History of European Art (course code 41ACA03)

This course, led by Alan MacLean, is based on a DVD series and covers European Art over the time period from the 9th century to the 19th century. It includes artists such as Botticelli, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Rubens and Rembrandt.

Mondays 11am to 12.30pm at Fairpark.

Colouring (course code 41ART01)

Colouring is creative, meditative and gives a sense of accomplishment when you complete a picture. Colours have a life of their own. They react to light, distance and movement in various ways. They also react with each other.

This course is designed to introduce you to adult colouring. Over two terms basic techniques will be covered – the many types and ways of shading, light source, colour intensity, brightness and value. Both line colouring and grey scale will be compared as they are very different. The secrets of the colour wheel will be explained.

If you would like to try a new hobby or a new medium then this course is for you. Experienced colourists are welcome and, perhaps, you might share some of your knowledge and expertise with us.

Tutor: Teresa Galczynski. Tuesdays 12.30 to 2.30pm at Fairpark.

Indian Vegetarian Cooking (course code 45HOB02)

These recipes will be very easy to follow and the added bonus will be that you can taste what you make in the comfort of your own home.
